Maya trained in Mumbai and spent six years in large chain salons where a stylist might see fourteen clients a day. The work was fine. It was never good. There simply is not time to consult properly, and commission targets quietly decide what gets recommended.

So the studio was built the other way round: a limited number of appointments, no service commission for the team, and senior stylists only. It means we are more expensive than the salon down the road and we are comfortable with that.

• Appointment only. We take a fixed number of clients a day so nobody is rushed and nobody waits.
• No upselling. Our team is not on service commission, so what they recommend is what your hair needs.
• Patch test 48 hours before any colour, without exception, even for regulars.
• Photo consultation before colour work, so expectations are matched before the first foil goes in.
• Written aftercare for every chemical service — the result is only as good as the first two weeks.
